{happy} Happy Birthday...

...to my awesome...
DADDY

It was the perfect Sunday to spend as a family...church, lunch, errands in Kearney, country/pasture drive in the jeep, supper/party with his family!
We are so blessed to have a husband and daddy who loves his family and works so hard to provide for us!  Thank you so much Kory for all you do for our family!  We love you so much!

Just another day in the field...

Brexton, Paislie, & I headed to the corn field mid morning to ride in the combine one day last week!  We rode until lunch time.  It would be too much of a circus to all eat lunch in the combine, so we left Kory his lunch and Brexton, Paislie, & I had a picnic on the edge of the field!  The kids enjoyed watching the combine and tractors while eating!  After our picnic, we headed home for naptime!

Nana is a grain cart driver!

{future} Huskers

10/6/12

Last Saturday, Brexton and I went to the Burki household to take Brodrick's newborn pictures.  We had been talking that we wanted to get all three of them together.  Well, it worked perfect as they were all dressed up in their Husker gear so we did a quick photo shoot!  Let's just say the more kiddos in the picture the more difficult it is to get the 'perfect' one!  We love them no matter what!!

Congratulations Burki's!!

Brodrick Vincent Burki

born 9/29/12
7 lbs 9 oz   19 3/4 in
proud BIG sister Paislie

What an exciting day this was!!  Brodrick is just the sweetest little man!  We watched Paislie for part of the day and took her down to the hospital in the evening to meet her new brother!  We had a hard time not saying anything until on the way to the hospital!  Boy was she excited then!!   There is no doubt she is a proud big sister...check out their family blog here!

Kory, Brexton, and I had fun decorating their porch and filling Brodrick's room with balloons to surprise them when they came home on Sunday!

Congratulations on your sweet blessing again!!  Love you guys!!

For those who don't know, but Paislie is a very special girl in our family....and so is her family!!  We have been babysitting Paislie for the last 2 years...ever since her mom when back to work after maternity leave!  I don't think we would know what to do without her, even Brexton!  She calls Brexton her baby brother and says she missed him when she comes out in the mornings!  We are so thankful for the Burkis and secretly pray that A.J. doesn't look for a different school to teach/coach at anytime soon!!  ;)

Brexton is a ham...

just see for yourself!!  :)
This is a series of pictures I took while he was sitting on the floor playing!  You never know what you are going to get with this kiddo!  He is his father's child!  :)  The nose wrinkle is his new favorite face and he typically snorts while he does it!!  Pretty sure there is never a dull moment around here and we just love it!!!

6 month check-up

Brexton's 6 month well check with Dr. Haskett went great!  He was very pleased with Brexton's growth and development.  We got the okay to start solid foods, but Dr. Haskett recommended feeding one food for 3 to 4 days see how Brexton tolerates that food!  Dr. Haskett also felt great about going into the sickness season that with the fact that Brexton hasn't been sick yet!  He didn't think Brexton would even qualify for the RSV vaccination and doesn't feel he even needs it!  Brexton weighed 16 lbs (25%), was 26 in (45%) tall, and head circumference was 43 cm (25%).  Shots in two weeks, otherwise next check up at 9 months!!
So THANKFUL for a healthy 6 month old little boy!!!  :)
