Who do I look like...

Several people have asked us if Brexton looks like more like Kory or I when we were babies.  I went through some baby pictures and picked out a few for you to decide!

...MOMMY...

OR

...DADDY...

So what do you think??  :)

Brexton sleeps just like the pictures of his daddy!  We may just have a mini Kory on our hands!  ;)

First Tractor Ride

Two nights ago, daddy began planting...which means long days and night of just mommy and I!  My first ride in the tractor didn't last long because it put me to sleep! :)  It was too dark that night we planted so I waited until today to take my picture with daddy and his new tractor!  I'm sure this was the first of many rides with dad!!!  Praying its a safe planting season for everyone!

....where has time gone!!  Brexton has been home just over two weeks.  We have loved every minute of it!  I often wonder what I did with my time before he was here!  Our house is slowly getting back in order from being gone two weeks!  Brexton's room is almost complete....I can't wait to do a post on it to show all of you!!!

ThAnK yOu for your continued prayers over the past month!  We are so thankful for his health today!!!

Love, Kory, Danielle, & Brexton

It's HoT

I'm done taking pictures mom!!

On Tuesday, we went down to the Isaacson/Schukar household and had a playdate with the girls and kiddos of our life group!  Brexton wasn't so much into playing, but he enjoyed hanging out outside in shorts and short sleeves!  It was was good fellowship time for mommy.
Thanks to the Busenitz Family for our baseball onsie!  It's one of few that fit right now!

'BIG Sister' Paislie

On Sunday, the Burki family was to kind to invite us over for supper and to hang out!  We had so much fun!  We enjoyed the time getting to play with Paislie!  We made pretend cupcakes, cleaned her horse barn with a kitchen fork and spoon, combed and dried hair, played with stickers....we were busy!!
Paislie is so in love with Brexton!  It is so cute to hear her say his name! ;)  Right away she wanted to share her toys with him!  She brought him a horse, but she had to make sure it was a baby horse!  She loved to kiss him on top of his head!  She also helped me change his diaper!  She is going to be the best big sister to Brexton and the new sibling that will arrive at her house in October!

First Doctor Appointment

On April 16, Brexton had his first doctors appointment since being released from the hospital.  Thankfully Kory came along, and he waited in the car with Brexton while I got checked in and registered.  They had a room waiting for us in the back so we wouldn't have to sit in the waiting room and expose Brexton to all of the sick kiddos.  The nurse came in asked questions and weighed/measured Brexton.  He weighed 5 lbs 12 oz, measured 19 1/2 inches long, and head circumference is 34.  For his acutal age, he is in the 7th percentile in height and 3rd percentile in weight and 3% in head circumference.  Brexton's doctor came in a short while later.  He is so good to Brexton!  Dr checked him out and thought everything looked good.  He did recommend having Brexton's bilirubin levels (jaundice) checked before we left just to make sure it wasn't any higher since his color was still a little yellow.  Dr was very pleased with Brexton's progress and wants us to come back in 3 weeks where we will go ahead and do his 2 month check and get his round of shots! :(
Prior to leaving the doctors office, we went to the lab to check in.  They said they would move us up to the front of the pile, but to sit away from people while we were waiting.  I went ahead and scheduled Brexton's next appointment while Kory said with him.  Finally, he was called back to get his blood drawn from his heel....he didn't like that!  We were finally done...oh how I don't like doctor's offices.
Before we left town, we made a visit up to the NICU to see our nurses and give them a cookie we had ordered!  Brexton got to snuggle with one of his favorite nurses, Sue!  It is still bittersweet to visit the NICU!  We enjoy visiting the nurses we love so much, but thankful Brexton gets to leave with us!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers!  We feel beyond blessed that Brexton is home and is staying healthy!  He is one tough little man!

Swinging...

Brexton loves his swing, especially to sleep in.  Thanks to Kory's aunts for the great gift!
