Tony & Jessa say {I DO}

9/8/12

A couple weekends ago, we traveled to Lincoln to help celebrate Kory's cousin, Tony's, wedding!  Tony & Jessa's wedding was beautiful!  It was a fun day with family, despite a loss from the Huskers!  :(
We were able to spend the night and go to church with Kara & Seth!   Here are a few pictures from the wedding!  (Thanks to Kara! )

{Exciting} News

I have something so share with you...

I have kept it a secret for too long now....

I know what you all are thinking...

I'm NOT going to be a BIG Brother...

BUT...I'm going to be...

ONLY   BIG COUSIN!!!!

Uncle Kyle & Aunt Marquette are having a baby!!!

They tell me it's going to be hard work...

But I can handle it!  :)

I am SO EXCITED to be the BIG COUSIN!!

YES...our family is very excited to share that we are going to be an Aunt, Uncle, and BIG cousin!!  Kory's brother and his wife are expecting their first child the beginning of March!  We couldn't be more happy for them!!  Now we just need to talk them into moving closer to home! :)  Marqi is so creative with their announcement and blog...you can follow them here!  Marqi and I talk at how fun it would be if they had a boy also since the two will be so close in age, but then tease each other because we aren't sure if we can handle another Kory and Kyle!  :)  No matter what...we can't wait to meet him/her!  We love you guys so much!!  Congratulations on your blessing again!!!

{Down by the} River

Sunday evening, Kory, Neil, Brexton, and I went for a drive down to the river.  Neil had had a picnic at the cabin earlier in the day and had to pick up some things that were left so we decided to ride along.  Even though everything is brown and dry, it was fun to go for a ride on such a beautiful evening.  Brexton just loved riding with the window down and checking everything out!!!

Go BiG rEd {Huskers}

We all road tripped to Lincoln for the first Husker game!  What a FUN day!!  Kory, along with his mom and dad, went to the game!  His sister Kara and her boyfriend, Seth, we also at the game in the student section!   Brexton and I had the chance to hang out with my sister for the first half, then I decided to head into the game for the second half, while Brexton hung out with my sister outside the stadium!  I still get chills every time I walk into the stadium!  It's so fun to be a part of sea of red and so close to the action!  After the game, we made a stop at Kara's dorm room, then supper at Cracker Barrel.

Thanks Nana and Papa for sharing your tickets, and Aunt Tiffany for hanging out with Brexton!

the next Rex (Brex) Burkhead!!  :)

Austin had his first football game!  They came out with a 45 to 20 victory over Nebraska Christian!  It was a fun game to watch not only with Austin playing, but Kory's uncle Carl is the head coach for Nebraska Christian!  There was a lot of family to cheer them both on!  It was a perfect evening for a football game!

Finally parent's night EVER for mom & dad!!
Good Luck Uncle Blub

Nebraska State Fair

We attended a couple days of the state fair this year!  Kory had to help with Angus open class show on Wednesday.  We also went to watch the 4-H beef shows and other exhibits.  Besides the huge crowd the first day, we had a great time and Brexton did great!  Here are some pictures from my cousins from North Platte showing in the open class.  My cousin, Aliesha, is also the Angus Queen!  Congrats Aliesha!!!
