Christmas @ Grannys

We started off the first of many Christmas celebrations at Granny's (Kory's grandma)!  We all met up for brunch after church!  Our day was spent eating, playing games, opening gifts, sneaking home for a nap, playing, eating some more, and doing a little dancing!  It was busy, but Christmas was definitely off to a good start!  Thanks Nana for sharing some of your pictures!

Brexton is so silly these days!  He is into trying to imitate what we do.  He has also learned that its fun if we copy what he does so he can do it again!  His favorite trick right now is smacking/popping his lips!!  He will make the funniest face in preparing to do it then has the biggest eyes when he does like!  (the first four pictures are a series of him doing it two times!)  He has also figured how to grunt with his mouth closed to sound kind of like a pig or maybe a catfish...not really sure!  There is no doubt that he is ALL boy!  :)

Christmas Baking

My sister, mom, and I got together on Saturday this year to do some Christmas baking!  It was a fun/busy day with an extra helper this year, Brexton!  He did great and he enjoyed being a part of the action!  My dad and brother came over for supper and helped Kory out with the taste testing and quality control!  ;)  Here are a few pictures from the day!

First 4-Wheeler

Brexton got to open another early Christmas present from a family friend/landlord, Pauline!  He got this four-wheeler.  Brexton just loves it!  He loved playing/riding it a her house and of course we have to show everyone when they come to Brexton's house! ;)  It has buttons on the top that make noise and if you twist one of the handle bars backwards it makes a revving sound!  It's the cutest ever!  It won't be long and Brexton will be riding it by himself across the house!!

9 Month Check Up

Brexton had his 9 month check up today...a couple days early since we would need to be going in on Christmas Eve.  Daddy even went this time!  It was nice to have a break from needing any shots this time.  We have been doing all of his immunizations at the immunization clinics in Loup City or Broken Bow, which has been nice!  Everything checked out good for Brexton.  He even got a good report on the clearing up of his sinus infection from the week before.  Brexton weights 17 lbs 10 oz (10%).  He is 27 1/4 inches long (25%)....however 8 days prior at that visit he was 28 1/2 inches long...guessing was just the difference in nurses and he didn't shrink over an inch!  :)  Brexton's head circumference is 45 cm (45%).  Praying we can all stay healthy this winter and not have to come back until our birthday!

...and second bruise...

I just had a rough day today...first I was playing with my magnetic toys on the fridge and I bummed my head on the corner of the cabnit next to the fridge...second I was crawling to mommy at the kitchen table, went to pull myself up, and bumped my head on the bench at the table...a third bonus is the scratch on my nose, but I'm not sure where that came from!!  :(

I guess I'm just going to have to get tough since I think I need to pull myself up on everything every though I am still a little shaky!

but I can still be happy!
