When we got word the girls might be coming home in the next week, we decided it was probably time to get a crib and finish things at home! (this was happening 2-3 weeks sooner than we thought!) So...in light of this possibly being Brexton's last weekend with just mommy and daddy, we headed to Omaha! We spent part of Saturday with the girls then headed to Omaha to shop, buy a crib, and swim at Co Co Keys waterpark/hotel! Then Sunday, we headed for breakfast at Perkins then off to the zoo. As we were unloading at the zoo, I got a call from the NICU...it was the girls' doctor...he wanted to tell us that he has no more reason to keep the girls so he was thinking they could go home Wednesday or Thursday!! That was the best way to start our day at the zoo!! We had a blast! By midafternoon, Brexton was ready for a nap so we headed back to Kearney to spend the evening with the girls! This was probably the quickest trip we have ever taken to Omaha, but it was the best time!
We are so thankful God has blessed us with just over two years with just Brexton...we are looking forward to bringing our girls home and enjoying the adventures as a family of 5!
